Join BirdNote tomorrow, November 30th!
Illustrator David Sibley and actor H. Jon Benjamin will face off in the bird illustration battle of the century during BirdNote's Year-end Celebration and Auction!
BirdNote invites everyone to tune into the Bring Birds Back podcast on Wednesday, May 18, and join host Tenijah Hamilton once again to experience the joy of birds and the ways that humans can help through simple, everyday actions.
The population of breeding birds in North America has declined by nearly 3 billion birds since 1970. But many solutions are within reach - including knowing when to turn off artificial lighting for migratory birds, providing homes for purple martins, and reaching out to new birders who may be looking for a community.
Bring Birds Back is a relatable, playful show with a serious heart. Season one received more than 34,000 downloads across streaming services. In season two, listeners will return on their journey with Tenijah as she speaks with bird enthusiasts from many different backgrounds, identities, and communities and she and the listener learn, together, how to #bringbirdsback.
The second season of Bring Birds Back is an eight-part series produced by BirdNote. Beginning on Wednesday, May 18, episodes will be released every week. Episode topics include “Lights Out”, “What’s in a Name?”, “The Past, Present, and Future of Purple Martins” among others.
Bring Birds Back is available through Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, Spotify, Stitcher, or wherever you get your podcasts — and at BirdNote.org. Follow @BirdNoteRadio on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and share your thoughts about the podcast using #BringBirdsBackPod.
About Host Tenijah Hamilton
Tenijah Hamilton is Chief Community Officer for Hopebound, an Atlanta-based organization providing therapy for under-resourced youth. Like many people, Tenijah started birding during the pandemic, and now she wants to spread the joy of birds with others. As for a favorite bird, she’s partial to the albatross because of the sappy love story it represents.
